Two new episodes of “19 Kids and Counting” aired on Sept. 16 and three stars that don’t get a ton of airtime stole the spotlight: Ben Seewald, plus Jessa and Jinger Duggar. As posted by “Us Magazine,” Ben Seewald and fiancé Jessa Duggar announced their upcoming wedding date: Saturday, Nov. 1. Ben and Jessa were featured on the newest “19 Kids and Counting” episode titled “Duggar Dirty Jobs.” Jinger Duggar, a 20-year-old and the sixth Duggar child, has always had a passion for photography. In the second new episode of “19 Kids and Counting,” she was featured in “Duggars Decorate & Diet” when she snapped engagement photos of Jill and Derrick.
The hour of Duggar drama began with Ben Seewald, who recently moved into the guesthouse/storage warehouse in front of the Duggar’s home in Tontitown, Ark. Jim Bob recently offered Ben a job and place to live – so that he could be closer to Jessa and their relationship could progress without the strain of long distance dating. Jim Bob explained on air that Ben and Jessa have agreed to save their first kiss for their wedding day. Until then, the two do not spend any time together alone to avoid temptation.
To see if Ben could pass his test, Jim Bob paired him up with John-David to fix a fence, clean a bathroom and handle three other projects. Ben admitted that he might not be the best handyman and stated, “I might just have other strengths.” In the end, Ben completed two of the five projects, but earned praise from John-David, who said, “I think Ben’s a great guy. He will make a great husband and brother-in-law.” Jim Bob joked, “If you want to marry a Duggar girl, you have to be willing to get your hands dirty.” To watch a video about Ben’s scavenger hunt proposal to Jessa Duggar, head to the “19 Kids and Counting” website on TLC.
The second new episode of “19 Kids and Counting” featured Jinger Duggar, but opened with a surprise visit by Jim Bob and Josh’s trainer. He showed up at Josh and Anna’s home and raided their pantry and refrigerator in an effort to once again steer the family towards healthier eating habits.
The episode then featured Jinger Duggar and her passion for photography. She was tasked with taking the official engagement photos of Jill and Derick. Despite bugs, power lines, traffic, and other location issues Jinger managed to take flattering and intriguing photos that were featured on TLC’s website. Jinger shows no signs of saying “I do” on the altar, unlike her three older sisters. “Jezebel” called Jinger the “original rebel Duggar” due to her free spirit and unique personality.
Other highlights of the newest episodes of “19 Kids and Counting”:
- Jill and Derick purchased their wedding rings from the same retailer that provided wedding rings for Michelle and Jim Bob, White’s Jewelry in Fayetteville. Per “People Magazine,” shopping for rings with Jill “took her back 30 years.”
- The younger Duggar children went to a pottery store and painted wedding gifts for Jill and Derick. Grandma Duggar went along to lend a hand to Michelle and the little ones.
- Josh and Anna have lived in Washington, DC for a little more than one year. “We’re getting a little more used to the crazy city life,” Josh stated on Tuesday night.
The next new episode of “19 Kids and Counting” is titled “Jill Says Yes to the Dress.” The super-sized, one-hour new show will air at 9 pm EST on Tuesday, Sept. 23 on TLC, with an encore performance at 11 pm.
