Sunday October 26th is WWE’s Hell in a Cell Pay Per View (I’m still not sure if we should call it a PPV considering we get it on the Network). It looks like a solid card and a potential match of the year canidate, so let’s break it down and make some picks! WHO YA GOT?
- Rusev vs The Big Show–
The battle of these two big guys has come to a much anticipated…I can’t over sell this. I really like both of these talents and I think Rusev has a big upside, I just want the US vs Russia storyline to end. It seems every talent from the Eastern block has to do this character and people wear down on it very quickly. Rusev is a freak athlete and I think he can be a big time player down the road. My pick to win this match: Rusev
- WWE Tag Titles– Goldust & Stardust vs The Uso’s
I have no clue what they are doing with this storyline, I just want the Accension to come up and dominate these two teams. The Uso’s have been on a great run this year and I have absolutely no interest in the Gold/Stardust nonsense. It is being well received by the fans but what do they know (I kid the WWE Universe). My pick: Gold/Star/lame dust retain.
- US Title– Sheamus vs Miz
This has been one of the most entertaining feuds on WWE t.v lately, but because of Damien Sandow. He is starting to get more and more chants from the crowd and hopefully this turns out to be a singles push for him. Sheamus has taken the U.S title and ran with it, and not a lot of former World Champions would do that so he gets my respect. My pick: Sheamus.
- Divas Title— A.J Lee vs Paige
I’ve said it a few times that this is the best Diva’s feud in a long, long time and it seems to only get better and better. Paige and A.J are both really good in the ring, but I’m thinking this will be the end of the feud (for now, you know how WWE likes to re-hash old feuds) and my favorite Diva (maybe ever) Paige will reclaim the top spot in the solid division. My Pick: Paige (I love her)
- Hell in a Cell— Randy Orton Vs John Cena
Randy Orton has won the internet with the ‘Outta Nowhere’ vines but I don’t think he’ll win this match. For Cena to lose, some other feud or interference would have to take place to lead that character to (like Bray Wyatt interfering in this match at the Royal Rumble). People get on the WWE for having this match 100 times (not even close on that exaggeration probably) but if you go on the Monday Nitro and see the 400 main events of Hulk Hogan and random partner vs Ric Flair and Random partner. These are the top two stars of their generation (sign my on-line petition to bring back Brian Kendrick) so of course they have to go at it. I’m picking the safe choice: John Cena
- Hell in a Cell— Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins
This is the match that I am looking forward to the most! I’m calling it (I’m sure I’m not the only one) the potential match of the year. This has been the best rivalry and the most entertaining storyline on WWE every single Monday Night Raw! Dean Ambrose should be given the ‘WrestleMania Moment’ at 31! Roman Reigns is boring and Seth Rollins is at the same level, which is fantastic for the WWE. Both of these guys are going to have their WrestleMania moment and I really don’t mind if either of these two win because if it doesn’t go forward, I will be disappointed. My pick to win: Dean Ambrose!
I could read the rumored finishes on-line but it is not as fun as trying to pick them to be right. The writing has been so lazy lately, that they can all have screwy finishes and change the writing at the turn of a hat. I don’t mind as much that the WWE title isn’t on the show because you really want Cena/Orton to have the title? The young guys are not close enough to have a run with the title so there really is not a good option right now. I’m looking for it to be a good pay per view and hopefully it surpasses my expectations. Either way, its 9.99 so you won’t hear me complain too much! Enjoy the Show and watch out for Randy Orton, he comes from outta nowhere!
