The Los Angeles based heavy metal glam band, LA Guns has gone through a few line up changes over the years. Most recently in September 2014, Kenny Kweens, who had been in LA Guns prior to bass player Scott Griffin, has now come back to LA Guns. Griffin was in the band for seven years.
Kweens is best known for his his nine-year tenure as bassist in the hard rock band Beautiful Creatures. In 2009, Kweens left the group and joined L.A. Guns (fronted by Phil Lewis), replacing previous bassist Scott Griffin. However, in 2011, Kweens departed and was replaced by Griffin.
During his time away from LA Guns, Kweens most recent project is a rock metal band, Villians of Vaudeville. For more info: http://VillainsOfVaudeville.com
Examiner spoke with Kweens about his upcoming tour with LA Guns.
Examiner: So how does it feel to be back in L.A. Guns?
Kweens: “It feels good. I told them when I left, if you ever need me again, just ask. I really missed the guys and it has always been a very comfortable fit for me in L.A. Guns. I get along so well with the guys. It’s a hard rock band that fits my style of playing and living. We tour all year round, all over the world. I’m looking forward to seeing all the fans that are excited to see me back in L.A. Guns. I’m gonna give you all I got every night.”
Examiner: Will you continue with Villains Of Vaudeville?
Kweens: “Yes! I was recording a new song when I got the call. I really love VOV. I also hope for a Beautiful Creatures reunion as well. I eat, sleep and breath Rock-n-Roll. It’s what I do best.”
