Abner from Good Mews Animal Foundation in metro Atlanta has a special message that he posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier this week:
Hi there – my name is Abner. I am a new kitten at the shelter. I have been chatting with my new kitten friends and they keep talking about forever homes. Apparently we just come to the shelter for a little while, and then a family comes and adopts us and takes us to their home. We are supposed to be treated real nice and live a wonderful life. Hmm – I think that sounds pretty cool. I wonder if my forever family will come for me this weekend. I plan to be on my best behavior. When people start arriving, I am first going to run around and play and run up and down the cat tree so they will see how energetic and fun I am. And then as soon as they sit down in a chair, I am going to jump in their lap and look up at them with my big moon-eyes and purr. Wonder if that will capture their heart and they will take me to the forever home?
So come on by this Saturday to meet me. And don’t forget, this is the last weekend for our super-fun adoption special: Scoop Up the Love! You will scoop your adoption fee, and they are all reduced! At the end of the month, two lucky adopters will win a prize. So see ya this weekend??
Abner is a three-month old male brown tabby kitten and is available for adoption. The following is some additional information about Abner from the Good Mews website:
‘Round, round, get around, I get around.’ Abner is all motion, all the time. He starts out being a little shy in new situations. But when he comes out of his shell, watch out—he is lively! He likes to be in charge, and doesn’t hesitate mixing it up with a bigger cat. And he’s always looking for something to get into. He especially likes playing with those wavy tails on other, bigger cats. We think he would do best with a young, playful cat or kitten, one confident enough to stand up to his sometimes rough play and his desire to dominate. We call him ‘moonpie eyes’ because of his cute face and huge round eyes. When he’s worn out from fun, he likes to sleep in your lap. If you’re looking for action with an adorable face, Abner’s your guy.
