Chardonnay from Good Mews Animal Foundation in metro Atlanta has a special message that she posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier today:
Hey everyone. My name is Chardonnay (in back) and I am relaxing with my best friends Sophia and Gonzo. I love all of my friends at Good Mews but I especially love Gonzo. Sure would be cool if we could be adopted together! But I do not have a lot of time to talk about us right now, so just come by the shelter and meet us.
So I hear there is a lot going on this weekend. Seems like our volunteers are always hard at work, trying to raise money for us so we can have a good life until our forever families come along.
On Saturday and Sunday we will be at the Fall Jonquil Festival so be sure to stop by our booth to say HI and buy a cute tee-shirt and other fun stuff. Our Holiday Décor Market starts on Saturday so put that on your list of “to-do this weekend”. We have all kinds of fun holiday decorations. I can promise you, you will not walk out empty-handed! We will also be accepting donations if you want to make room for your new stuff.
This is the last weekend for our Fall adoption special. All black, black and white, orange, tortie and calico cats have a reduced adoption fee of $75. Sophia and I are included but not Gonzo. But if you adopt me, the second cat’s adoption fee is always $50. So think about it…
On Monday we are having a fundraiser at 5 Seasons Brewery in Sandy Springs. If you go and eat and drink between 5pm and closing time, they will donate 5% of the proceeds back to Good Mews! I heard they have great beer and locally grown produce, but I cannot vouch for that because I am not old enough to drink beer. But I am sure whoever told me that would not fib.
And last but not least, be sure to make your appointment for our Vaccination and Microchip clinic on Nov 2. That microchip could save your pet’s life!!
Check out our website for details on everything I just talked about!

About Good Mews Animal Foundation
Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed over 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
