Acid Rain is a powerful sorcery spell from one of the earliest Magic: The Gathering expansion sets Legends. This blue uncommon does the unthinkable against the right player: It’s a one-sided Armageddon, blowing up all of their lands.
Acid Rain – 3U
Destroy all Forests.
Counterpart to Tsunami, Acid Rain is an evil, evil color hoser. It’s a fantastic sideboard card against the right match, however in today’s Legacy and Vintage metagame it’s just not worth running. That leaves Commander or casual eternal format matches.
When you cast Acid Rain in Commander…Let’s just say you won’t be making friends. Also, with so many different nonbasic lands printed over the years you aren’t even guaranteed to destroy all of a rival’s lands. That makes running Acid Rain a risk in multiplayer formats.
