Deepak Chopra teaches that “Our minds influence the key activity of the brain, which then influences everything; perception, cognition, thoughts and feelings, personal relationships; they’re all a projection of you.”
In other words what you think about you bring about. Everything begins with a thought! Your successes happen because you believe they will happen, you may not know the when, where or how, but if you think about manifesting a dream long enough and give it your unconditional focused attention your dream must come true. That is the law of attraction. The same thing applies in reverse if you don’t believe you will be successful you probably won’t!
Manifestation means bringing into the known (physical form) that which is already made known (mental or dream form). The brain can’t differentiate between what is real or unreal it simply responds to your thoughts!
For decades scientist disbelieved that there was a correlation between physical healing and visualizations. Your body was naturally designed to heal itself! Deepak also said that all your thoughts and feelings have physical consequences. Chemical messages from the brain circulate to every cell in the body, allowing your liver, heart, digestive track and immune system to eavesdrop on every mental event.
This culture now more than ever focuses on drugging the body’s natural order using methods that keep the body from doing what it was naturally designed to do.
This is not to suggest that there is no place for modern medicine in today’s society, however, patient’s self-diagnosing and suggesting treatment for dis-eases from watching a television commercial is ridiculous. Like RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) folks would rather take a pill than get their big behinds off the sofa and go for a walk.
Never mind side effects from drugs some men take, they would risk going blind from the little blue pill then to do some inner creative visualizations as well as some realizations that things change and the body is not designed to do at seventy what it could do at twenty.
The mind and the brain are not the same! The MIND is the “creator” of thought the BRAIN is the “receiver” of thought, and there is a big difference in the two!
Let’s say you are watching a commercial for cough medicine…The commercial shows someone standing in the rain, shivering, cold, wet, sniffing and sneezing under a dark and cloudy sky. The brain instantly and unconsciously goes to the memory that closely fits the feeling you have about this scenario. You then either relate or disassociate from the memory. If your reality is you don’t catch colds, then the brain will dismiss the commercial, if your reality is that around this time every year you get a cold then the commercial and the brain will associate, thus creating a synthetic reality! Next thing you know you are getting a scratchy throat and watery eyes. In others words you buying catching a cold because you believe you will get it, because after all you have for year after year after year!
Finally, Deepak suggests that you “use your memories, don’t allow your memories to use you”. “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.” (Proverbs 23:7)
