Here’s the chance for you and your family to enjoy a day down on the farm that includes activities like picking your own berries when you attend Hidden Valley Fruit Farm’s annual Berry Blast celebration in Lebanon, Ohio on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6.
A Bit About Hidden Valley Fruit Farm Located on 70 acres, Hidden Valley Fruit Farm was founded in 1951. The farm grows a wide variety of vegetables and fruits including apples (38 varieties), grapes, pears, peaches and numerous berries including blueberries and strawberries.
Berry Blast This event is a celebration of all things berry and will feature a multitude of family-friendly activities that all ages will enjoy. Besides getting the opportunity to spend some time in the fields and picking your own berries (Blueberries and strawberries will be in season), Berry Blast will feature wagon rides around the farm, kids’ train rides, a chance to meet, greet and pet animals in the barnyard and live musical entertainment. There will also be several vendors there offering their crafts and antiques for sale.
Hidden Valley Fruit Farm is also known for its fresh baked goods and in the 150 year old barn you can visit the farm’s bakery and farm market. They are especially known for their fresh baked pies which include apple, cherry, peach and apple brown betty. The bakery also offers homemade breads, jams and jellies, pumpkin rolls and cookies among other items. And make sure you try the ice cream.
Hours for the Berry Blast are noon – 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. Parking is free.
