If you don’t live under a rock, by now you must know that infamous bachelor George Clooney was taken off the market over the weekend by Amal Alamuddin – an Oxford educated attorney who gives counsel to United Nations officials and looks like a movie star! The newest bride to take the world by storm after Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. Alamuddin successfully kept her wedding dress a secret until today. George and Amal revealed their wedding pictures to Hello and People magazines. The bride looks stunning in an Oscar de la Renta ivory beaded-tulle dress with Chantilly-lace appliqué. Vogue published a behind the scene photo shoot they did with Amal in late July, when she finished her last fitting at de la Renta’s Bryant Park studio. The groom, who is already one of the sexiest men alive on the planet, looked suave in a black tuxedo, which was created by his good friend Giorgio Armani, as part of his Made to Measure collection. Mr Clooney accessorized with cufflinks gifted from Amal, with “George” inscribed in Arabic, and a 18K white gold OMEGA De Ville Trésor watch. The wedding was a star studded affair (kept under wraps from prying eyes of paparazzi) at luxury Aman Canal Grande hotel in Venice, Italy.
People magazine recently reported thar Clooney, 53, and Alamuddin, 36, first met in Italy, as he recently revealed at a charity dinner. But they weren’t spotted in public together until last October in London, where they were photographed after sharing a bite at Berners Tavern. The two were discussing a satellite program over Syria, Clooney’s rep said at the time. (Clooney’s Satellite Sentinel Project monitors human rights abuses.) By the holidays, according to a source, Alamuddin was a guest of Clooney’s on a vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico, along with longtime friend and Casamigos Tequila business partner Rande Gerber and his wife, Cindy Crawford. The two kept a low profile until after Valentine’s Day, when Alamuddin joined Clooney for a special White House screening on Feb. 18 of his film The Monuments Men. The couple held hands at the event, which President Obama attended. Later, the duo joined Clooney’s costars Matt Damon and Bill Murray at Willard Hotel’s Round Robin & Scotch Bar, where, an onlooker told PEOPLE, they were stuck like glue. Revealing their Romance Then it was vacation time again: In March, they first spent some beach time in the Seychelles, then jetted to Tanzania for a short, but sweet, four-day safari. Clooney was photographed with his arm around Alamuddin – finally confirming the two were a romantic item.
