Amazon Prime members have two days, October 27 and 28, 2014, to take advantage of an incredible deal.
The new Amazon Fire TV stick is small, affordable and the ease of use is unparallelled.
This new Fire TV Stick, is basically a small stick (looks like a USB drive) that fits into the HDMI port on your HDTV. Here is your change to get access to movies, TV shows, different types of music, photos, apps, and a ton of games.
The Fire TV Stick will be priced at $39 and you can preorder starting today at www.amazon.com/fire-tv-stick.
Amazon is reporting that the “Stick” will ship November 19.
As a bonus, if you are an Amazon Prime member or sign up for Amazon Prime you will, for two days, have an option of buying a “Stick” for a low price of $19 on Amazon.com.
“Fire TV Stick is the most powerful streaming media stick available—a dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, dual-band and dual-antenna Wi-Fi, included remote control, voice search with our free mobile app, easy set-up, an open ecosystem, and exclusive features like ASAP for instant streaming,” said Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com Founder and CEO. “The team has packed an unbelievable amount of power and selection into an incredible price point—Fire TV Stick is just $39.”
Per Amazon, here is some of what Fire TV Stick users will have access to:
Prime Instant Video
NBA Game Time
WATCH Disney Channel
Amazon Fire TV currently offers over 200,000 movies and all sorts of TV episodes from Amazon Instant Video. Amazon Instant Video has the world’s largest collection of videos you can buy or rent, so you can’t go wrong.
A few of my favorite features about the Fire TV Stick.
You have to have a remote control when you are watching television and Amazon Fire TV is like watching television but only better.
No more waiting for your movies or favorite TV programming to buffer. I don’t know how this is possible, but it has something to do with Fire TV predicting what you want to watch and they already have that programming ready to go.
If you want to use a second screen while watching a movie or show on your Fire TV Stick, you can now get director’s info, cast and crew info and backstories on that second screen while you watch your program.
Fire TV Stick is available starting today, October 27, 2014 for just $39—order at www.amazon.com/fire-tv-stick. Prime members will pay $19 today and tomorrow.
I’m a big fan of Google’s Chromecast, but Amazon appears to have upped the ante with the Fire TV Stick.
One can also choose to upgrade to the Amazon Fire TV Voice Remote for $29.99.
