Broadway Global shares America’s top talent Producer Jason Raff’s “do’s and don’ts”! This is how to win America’s Got Talent, as they begin the national talent search this week crossing our nation for future stars. We paraphrase Jason, rather than quote not to miss quote “America’s Top TV Talent Producer”. First it’s important to know that most of the auditions are held from 8:00 a..m. to 7:00 p.m. so there is no need to camp out for days. First show up before 7:00 a.m. and you will be seen! This way you are rested, and can perform at your best. Each of our future stars get 90 seconds to impress, so make sure you sing or show off the most dynamic sections of your performance, if you are a singer show off your vocal range and ability.
After producing America’s Got Talent for 10 years I can tell you that many show up in shorts, flip flops, jeans and this is not a good first impression. You only get one first impression, be a star! Your best bet is to dress for success. Look and act like a star. Wear a suite, or a costume. Find something to say or wear that makes you shine. Past winners and contestants, even a few who got the XXX on America’s Got Talent are still booking contracts around the globe. They all won because the performed with these very important attributes.. #1 be unique, #2 confident and most of all #3 surprise us! When you see true talent that gives you goose bumps, you can’t help thinking, in just a few months 12 million people are going to watch this talent on national television and their lives are going to change forever! Thanks to AGT some talents that have not made it past the XXX are still making money doing what they love, performing.
If your a Ventriloquist, come in with impressions, unique characters, (sound like a woman singing, if you are a man – or vise versa). If you are a singer, sing a song by the opposite sex, just own your performance! We even list songs on our site not to sing.. hint, hint. We travel the nation because we want to see and hear your personality. Whether you audition live or send in a performance; #1 introduce yourself, #2 say something that tells us who you are and #3 show your star quality. Don’t be cocky, just be confident and be yourself. America’s Got Talent is the only TV talent show that accepts all ages. Some past talents have even had past recording or performance contracts, but for some reason they did not have the knowledge of branding oneself, until America’s Got Talent showcased them. One performance on AGT brings breaking numbers in your future marketing fan base. Be unique, and be honest! Everyone does not need a sad story to capture 12 million viewers. If your heart and soul shares your amazing talents you will win on AGT.
After 10 years we know a star in just seconds. Pretend you are the biggest star, look at us in the eyes, we want you to succeed. If you are shy, don’t close your eyes, don’t look at the floor. Be comfortable with your journey and share your talents with pride. Introduce yourself, set up what we are about to see. Singers sing Acappella because we can hear if they have it or not, but we see musicians, bands, specialty acts, and of course dancers can use music tracks. I suggest before you audition, video yourselves on your iphone. See and hear what your introduction, song and movement looks like, before you come to America’s Got Talent. Prepare! Find a mainstream song that works for you. Again surprise us, Opera, Ventriloquist, even kids talents may stand out but we accept talents of all ages, but we have kept or expanded on the “golden buzzer” that will take you direct to the next round if you really have it!
Broadway Global even named dropped some of our favorite talents like singer Alltrinna T. Grayson, or buzz of America’s Got Talent guest judges could include Oliver Award winner and star of Broadway’s Matilda Lesli Margherita.. We have shared talents on past shows like Broadway Star Carly Rose Sonenclar from stage to stardom. We have shared Modern Family’s, Emmy winner Jeff Greenberg casting exclusive, because we believe America’s Got Talent.
