Last night on “America’s Got Talent” the results came in and the three acts in the bottom were Blue Journey, Christian Stoinev, and Smoothini. America would have a chance for an instant save, and the judges would go ahead and chose the last act to move to the finals from the last two standing.
The first group of performers to hear results were Acroarmy and Baila Conmigo and based on their performances on Tuesday night, it was obvious who would be moving on, however, suspense reigned and yes indeed, Acroarmy is moving forward. The next three acts called forward to find out results were Emil & Dariel, Kelli Glover, and Wendy Liebman, this was unfortunate because only one would move forward and this was Emil & Dariel. But hopefully this is not the last heard from Wendy Liebman whose act is original and hilarious. Kelli Glover was not impressive on her performance and America did not feel the connection. Next group of performers were Jonah Smith and Mat Franco and another disappointment was in store because only one would move forward and that was Mat Franco who was outstanding and earned his spot in the finals, but Jonah Smith was also fascinating in his performance and this is another act that hopefully will rise up to stardom because he has talent to spare and a stage presence that would fill arena upon arena. And then there were Quintavious Johnson and Jacob Curlee and based on their performances this was a no brainer, nevertheless, suspense lingered and the act moving forward is; Quintavious Johnson, without question this 12 year has earned his position in the finals and it would not be surprising, if he winds up winning the grand prize.
And now it was time to find out whom America had saved through an instant vote, the choices were Blue Journey, Christian Stoinev, and Smoothini. America saved Blue Journey, and so that meant that the judges would decide the sixth and final act to move forward, true, Smoothini’s act was not big and conducive to engaging a large audience, but then again Christian Stoinev had done a short balancing act and his dog had otherwise captivated everyone’s attention, but unfortunately Smoothini was sent home and this is another act that hopefully will work on enlarging his performance and thus earn a status in the world of magic that, he, without doubt has a talent for with an outstanding sense of humor and charisma.
Next Tuesday 12 acts will perform in hopes of moving forward to the final six and from this group a winner will be decided, there are some that no doubt will reach such a coveted spot, while others, who have gotten this far only because a spot had to be filled will nevertheless be going home next week, because they do not astonish or mesmerize as much as others do week after week.
