We’re back for another episode of “America’s Next Top Model,” and this week expect more drama, as someone is raring for a fight. Hmmmm.
The models arrive home after last week’s judging, and Ben’s winning photo is displayed on the flat screen. He decides to pick Adam to join him in the Tyra Suite.
The next night, the models all pile into the bus and go to the L.A. Fashion district, where they meet Tyra. It’s time for a Tyra teach, and tonight’s lesson is how to make love to the camera. She says she made her career selling sex, starting with Sports Illustrated, and then walking in the Victoria Secret Runway shows. She says she learned to make love to the camera without taking her panties off.
Lenox is nervous, being a virgin, and not feeling sexy.
Tyra gives the models steps to reach their goal.
- Werk the Smirk. That is to put intensity into your eyes while enticing with a side smile. She takes each of the models aside and gives them a chance to try the smirk.
- Fierce Fantasy Headroll. The girls will toss their heads left and right. The guys are rolling their heads and rubbing their necks.
- The peeping tooch/booch. Someone is checking out another person.
When it’s Lenox’s turn, she doesn’t really try to do it, and she gives up when she can’t do it. Tyra is disappointed.
Tyra tells everyone that they need to practice those moves because they will be tested on them soon.
The next morning Yu Tsai arrives at the models house, and tells them they will be shooting a mock fragrance commercial called “Spyder Bite.” They’ll be teamed up in pairs. The fragrance is inspired by Black Widows. The women will lure their men into their web. The pairs are:
Adam and Shei. Ben and Raelia. Keith and Marjana. Denzel and Kari. Romeo and Lenox. Matthew and Will.
The models go into hair and makeup where the girls will wear red contacts. Yu introduces the photographer, which the models recognize from week 2 – Franco Lacosta. (Remember, he was the photographer during the subway challenge.)
As the shoot starts, Raelia and Ben are first, and Raelia really rocks it out, biting on Ben’s lip. Matthew and Will do really well also. Kari and Denzel don’t do very well as Denzel seems distracted as Marjana is with Keith. Adam and Shei also had some problems. Mostly Adam. Lenox and Romeo have no chemistry, but eventually pull it off.
It’s Romeo’s birthday, and everyone gets together for a party. Romeo is way more friendly, and he drinks too much. He starts being a bit combative with Adam, trying to provoke him to punch him. Soon, others start watching, and Romeo head butts Adam. Oh oh, that’s bad. There are rules against fighting. The models pull him away, and everyone goes to bed.
The next day, Romeo is still combative, yelling at Adam about how he’s not a model, and he needs to go home. But, there’s no time for this as it’s time to load up and go to the challenge.
The models arrive at a set with Miss J and Yu Tsai. Miss J says that they have been made aware that there was a confrontation last night and there is a zero tolerance for fighting and Romeo has been eliminated. Romeo seems to take it in stride, and he walks out of the room.
But, there’s a runway show to plan. Miss J tells the models they’ll be getting a runway lesson. Everyone is psyched, thinking they’ll be getting a lesson from Miss J, but he tells them that it’s not him, it’s from her. And he points behind him to a woman who walks in on stilts. Oh my!
Mirjana admits that she has a fear of heights, and is afraid of falling, and she doesn’t think there is any way she’s going to be able to do this.
Everyone goes backstage, and we find out that Ben used to have stilts as a child, so he has a bit of an advantage. Everyone practices, and soon it’s time for the start of the show.
Will and Kari are first and they do well. Poor Raelia falls and has to be helped up. She walks with Denzel, and recovers nicely.
At the end, Yu thinks Ben did best, and he picks him as the challenge winner. The rest of the models scores will be posted at home. Scores are as follows:
The next day, everyone goes to judging, and the judges scores were as follows. Left to right – Miss J, Tyra, Kelly Cutrone.
Keith and Mirjana are first. Tyra loved Mirjana’s kiss, and Kelly thinks she was sexy without being too sexy.
Mirjana – 8, 9, 8
Tyra feels that Keith is so strong that it was impressive that he seems to look the victim in the commercial.
Keith – 8, 9, 8
Next is Adam and Shei. Tyra thinks Adam needs to relax more. He’s very stiff when he walks. Kelly didn’t care too much for Shei in the commercial, but Tyra really liked her.
Shei – 7, 10, 6
Tyra thinks Adam gave a solid performance. Kelly thinks he looks like Adonis modeling diapers.
Adam – 7, 8, 6
Denzel and Kari are next. Kelly thinks Kari looks like a dominitrix, and it doesn’t work for her. Tyra disagrees and thinks Kari was working the eyebrow and alienesque look she has.
Kari – 7, 8, 7
They liked Denzel’s body, but not the way he stuck his big foot up in the air.
Denzel – 8, 8, 7
Ben and Raelia are next. Kelly loved the commercial, saying if anyone wants to know how to make a Spyder Bite commercial, you just showed them how. Miss J wants more from her.
Raelia – 7, 10, 10
Tyra thought Ben looked lost and overshadowed by Raelia’s performance.
Ben – 7, 5, 8
Matthew and Will were next. Tyra got chills at Will’s eyebrow, and Kelly loved both of them. Miss J called it “genius.”
Will – 9, 9, 8
Kelly thought Matthew and Will looked really hot together. Tyra didn’t like Matthew’s smirk.
Matthew – 9, 6, 9
Lenox is next. Miss J didn’t like her headroll. Kelly thought it wasn’t sexy at all. Tyra was super disappointed because she didn’t think Lenox even tried.
7, 1, 7
It’s time to add up the challenge scores, judges scores and social media scores. The call outs went as follows:
The bottom two are Adam and Lenox. Adam had a decent commercial, but his challenge score was low and his social media score is struggling. Lenox thinks she doesn’t have to do things she’s not good at. She just gave up. Who will go home? Lenox ends up with the low score, but Tyra tells her that she’s going to give her another chance. She’s only getting to stay because Romeo did something wrong. But, she’ll also have a penalty. Next photo shoot, she will only have 5 frames to get a good shot, while everyone else will have an ample amount of shots. Wow, that’s super tough. Can she do it? Tune in Mon. night, Sept. 22 at 9:00 p.m. to find out.
