Amores Model Management (“Amores”), one of the top sources for model management locally and internationally, has recently launched a “Special Bookings” division for influential fashion bloggers and personalities in the Southwest region. The agency, housed out of DFW, brings more than 40 years of experience combined in developing models, enhancing their brands and connecting them with opportunities based on their personal goals.
The Special Bookings division at Amores will be inherently the first of its kind. Targeting influential fashion bloggers, Instagram stars, Viners and YouTube personalities is only at the tip of the iceberg for this elite division. While it is known that a sprinkling of top-tiered fashion bloggers are linked with agencies, it is a first for an agency to dedicate an entire division and team to the social and overall development of the categorized “best of the best” for southwest fashion bloggers and personalities.
Ari Miranda, a former publicist and television/radio producer from Mexico City now heads up model management as an Amores Agent. Miranda, a veteran in the industry, has worked with clients such as Paulina Rubio, Sofia Vergara and Soe and Alondra de la Parra to name a few. As to why the Special Bookings division will be a success, Miranda dishes, “These personalities are trend setters, social media gurus, magazine editors, bloggers and v-loggers. To say we manage is an understatement. We curate marketing. We elevate social media. We brand.”
To jump start the division, Amores will begin with the dynamic Dallas duo of editor-in-chief for DFW Style Daily, Lisa Petty and top Dallas blogger, Cynthia Smoot of Oh So Cynthia. While Amores manages their brand images, booking and negotiating public appearances, partnerships and hosting opportunities; Petty and Smoot can focus on the more pressing day to day affairs of their media outlets and on their ongoing means of local and national influence.
Founder and agency director Luis Basteri, launched Amores in June 2013 and deems the Special Bookings division as the ultimate wave of the future for prominent and influential bloggers. “Everyone has representation: photographers, fashion stylists, hair and makeup artists, art directors,” Basteri emphasizes. “Why shouldn’t bloggers? Representation is everything in the age of the super blogger.”
Amores currently hand selects the bloggers for its Special Bookings division and evaluates web aesthetic, content appeal, reach and fan base as factors for representation.
