Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar-Dillard have been keeping ’19 Kids and Counting’ fans on the edge of their sets with engagement rings, wedding news, and recently Jill announced her pregnancy. Now, according to a People article dated Mon. Sept. 8, Jessa, 21, and fiance Ben Seewald, 19, have officially announced their wedding date.
The happy couple hasn’t only set a date – they are ready to say their “I-Do’s.”
“We have most of our planning done,” Seewald tells PEOPLE. “When you’re planning a wedding, you can make it complicated, or make it simple and we are trying to make ours simple. There are some things that have to be done right before the wedding, but for the most part, we’re ready.”
So when is the big day?
Jessa and Ben will commit to forever on Nov.1 – less than two months from now.
The well organized pair shared further details.
“We have the bridal party picked and the colors are done,” Jessa tells People. “The bridesmaids dresses are selected.”
As for a dress, for the lovely bride to be? She has of course already selected it.
“I picked out my wedding dress a couple of days ago,” she says. “I went with the second dress I tried on – I love it.”
Jessa, the third daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle shares the family values when it comes to courtship and marriage. Like sister Jill and husband Derick, Jessa and Ben have spent time building a friendship and have agreed to save their first kiss for their wedding day. The couple has shared their courtship journey, and most recently, Ben moved in to the family guesthouse to assist Jim Bob with some work, and to have the chance to spend more time with the entire family.
Since Ben has joined the family, wedding planning has been even easier.
“When he is doing his studies at night, I sit at my laptop beside him, planning the wedding,” Jessa says. Seewald is a sophomore in college and a Political Science major.
The soon-to-be married duo also enjoys working out together.
“We do a lot of weight lifting and cardio together, trying to stay fit,” Seewald says. “Some of the other kids, like Joy and Jason, sometimes join in. We have a little workout club going.”
The couple also continues to take chaperones along for their date nights. Despite any criticism the devout Christian family may receive, their relationships and family lives seem indisputably peaceful, which suggests a special ingredient called “Jesus” is the answer to the equation.
The hit TLC show airs on Tuesday nights at 9 P.M.
