Another good week in Orlando music

by yeah stub

There are some great choices again this coming week in live Orlando local music events. This week there are a couple of charity events on the schedule, plus there are still a few fundraisers going on.

Friday outside the CFE Arena at UCF is a Battle of the Bands fundraising for the United Way. On the bill for this special show are Chris Dryfoos, The Merge, Reverist, I//Arrhythmist, Planning the Past, The Pendletones and Felicity. Fans will vote for their favorite bands through donations in each band’s tip jar.

On Saturday is a Rock Pink event at Harley Davidson Orlando East. The Rock Pink Ride after party starts at noon and includes a FREE lunch, raffles and live music by Full Circle. Registration for the ride starts at 9 a.m.

The Guitar Center Singer Songwriter 4 contest is still going on featuring Carly Jo Jackson. She has four videos up now for music fans to check out and enjoy. Every video view gives her points to move up in the competition.

Time is running out on a couple of the fundraisers this week. (N)ception’s Indie Go Go and Live Hart’s Kickstarter both end this week and both bands still have a long way to go to make their goals for their CDs. The Getbye’s Kickstarter runs until Oct. 21 as the band seeks funding for a tour bus.
