Another potential character reveal has been clarified for “WWE 2K15” on the PS4, Xbox One and other consoles. According to a report from Attack of the Fanboy on June 27, a fan asked Jim Ross if he will be coming back to provide some commentary for the upcoming video game. The announcer replied by laughing, saying that he is not going to appear in this year’s installment.
2K Sports recently confirmed that commentary is going to be provided by Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole. Both individuals were brought into recording sessions at the same time in order to provide a more natural flow of conversation when compared to “WWE 2K14.” Over 30 hours of dialogue have been recorded so far for “WWE 2K15.”
Jim Ross remains extremely popular although he has not commentated on WWE matches on a full-time basis for years. He was reportedly fired from the company last year due to a promotional event made for “WWE 2K14.” As the host, he was unable to keep control of the discussion, especially when an intoxicated Ric Flair started to ramble off. Based on the aforementioned comments, it appears that he won’t be working with the WWE in the near future.
Aside from the commentary, 2K Sports also decided to revamped the graphics in the upcoming game. The character models should look more realistic due to a new scanning technology. Furthermore, the animations have been re-recorded and revamped as well. From a visual standpoint, this year’s installment should end up being the best-looking game in the franchise.
The next-generation consoles should also give a graphical boost to “WWE 2K15.” The same game will also be shipping to the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well although the current-generation iterations most likely won’t look as good as the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
