“Big Brother 2014” fans are dying for some official information regarding what is happening this summer. There have been a lot of rumors and plenty of speculation, but few solid “Big Brother 16” spoilers revealed as of yet. On Monday “BB16” host Julie Chen finally dished out some teasers via Twitter about when fans can expect some official news.
Chen tweeted, “I’ve got scoop on the new season of #BigBrother! Watch #TheTalk 6/18 to learn why we’re calling #BB16 the most twisted season ever!” She also hinted that there would be some “Big Brother” spoilers regarding the season 16 cast later in the week. There has been a lot of talk that there will be veterans back in the game this season, a move many welcome considering the frustrations with season 15 last summer.
There has been a lot of talk that season 16 would be some sort of pairs cast along the lines of the “Survivor” Blood versus Water season with veterans in the mix. However, it seems at this point that isn’t necessarily the dominant theory any longer. The idea that returning players are coming back does continue to garner buzz, with some “Big Brother” spoiler sources claiming that there are a number of veterans already in sequester ahead of the reveals and premiere.
Big Brother Network breaks down some of the theories and veteran social media posts. It does appear that at least some former players are purposely throwing fans off with tweets and other social media posts. Some former players are definitely making it look like they are participating when they probably aren’t. At the same time, others may be making it seem as if they’re not entering the house this summer when it may well be that they’ll be in the mix. There is now a lot of speculation that season 16 will be some type of fans versus favorites format, perhaps with fans at home voting on which favorites enter the mix.
To at least some degree, it seems the “Big Brother 2014” cast, twists and format will be revealed on Wednesday, June 18. The game is expected to officially begin later this week as at least some houseguests enter the house, with CBS shows beginning on Wednesday, June 25. In fact, as Reality Rewind explains, this season will have a two-night premiere. The live feeds apparently won’t begin until after that second episode on June 26, increasing the rumors buzzing around about just who is participating.
Just how much detail will Julie Chen reveal on “The Talk” Wednesday? What will the mix of players be this summer, and are the “Big Brother” spoilers regarding returning players hitting the mark? Fans are anxious to find out, and it all will be revealed soon as the “Big Brother 2014” premiere date draws closer.
