BioCorRx, Inc. (OTCQB: BICX) Chief Operating Officer Brady Grainier has discussed new Start Fresh Program clinic openings in an interview with SmallCapVoice.com, the company said in a statement this month.
According to Grainier, the second quarter was an “active quarter” for the alcoholism and addiction rehabilitation company, with many new Start Fresh Program clinics currently being developed and opening in new territories.
“It may sound a little quiet now since all of those last quarter activities happened, but those operators are now working to get their distribution set up as quickly as possible in their territories,” Grainier said. He added that more clinics would be coming “online” this year in addition to the eight other clinics that are currently operating across the country.
“It will be great. Going into 2015, we should have a dozen or so clinics that will be fully operational,” he said.
Since the interview took place with SmallCapVoice.com, the clinic in Atlanta opened as of this week.
“I think the exciting thing here is traditionally the Company had made money and kept ourselves afloat by selling licenses. However, our goal has always been to get those licensees to be opening clinics. So, eventually we could be making our revenue from actually selling the program. That is true cash flow and that means we are actually growing as a company and what it is that we set out to do: Sell programs, change people’s lives, and help addicts and alcoholics,” said BioCorRx, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Kent Emry.
“Q2 of this year was the very first time in the history of the Company that we are cash flow positive just from program sales. This ensures that we are growing in a strong sustainable way for years to come,” he said.
The company recently set up a new investors’ relations web site, which SmallCapVoice.com host Stuart Smith described as “robust.” The web site published recent updates about the company such as the Goldman Small Cap Research report and events and trade shows that the company took part of.
The Start Fresh Program is a two-tiered program that takes a different approach to addiction rehabilitation. The first phase of the program involves an outpatient medical procedure to embed a specially formulated, biodegradable naltrexone implant under the skin and fatty tissue in the lower abdominal area.
Naltrexone is an FDA-approved drug that blocks opioids from binding with the brain’s receptors, preventing alcoholics from experiencing pleasure feelings or euphoria. The implant releases the drug into the patient’s body for several months.
The second tier of the program involves a private, one-on-one coaching program to address the specific needs of the individual and to help him or her plan for a life free from substance abuse. The coaching program is tailored specifically to each client’s needs.
