I’m on the same struggle bus as everyone else when it comes to keeping blemishes at bay. I’ve been blessed to not have acne, but I do get the occasional breakout that is about as scary as a Halloween horror film.
I recently was sent the Kathy Ireland for Revive Light Therapy device to test out. The claim is in just 3 minutes the blue medical grade LED lights will kill bacteria instantly, which will make zits disappear like magic. Sounds too easy, right?
The Revive Light Therapy comes with a cord, protective goggles, and blemish serum. It’s small enough to put into your gym bag or stash away into your purse for easy travel. Batteries can be used to power the device, as well as a USB cord. Revive Light Therapy is about the same size as my Iphone 5 and is sleek and lightweight. The
I had my doubts at first, the device seemed too lightweight to actually do some real work. It’s FDA approved (yes, it’s as safe as using a zit cream) which made me wonder if the light was even strong enough to penetrate my skin, but it works.
I had a huge honker of a zit on my face just a few days after receiving my device. I washed my face as I usually do, used the Revive Light for 3 minutes, then applied my regular night cream. The next morning the zit was almost gone. It shrunk and wasn’t as red. Within 72 hours and three uses, my zit had basically disappeared. I didn’t use the serum during this time because honestly I had forgotten about it, but I did wear my protective goggles.
Even though the Revive Light Therapy device is specifically used for acne, I got inquisitive and wondered if the device would do the same on an ingrown hair I had under my arm. I used it twice a day after cleaning the area and within two days the ingrown hair bump had almost went away and the hair was able to weave its way out from under my skin. I was so excited that it worked.
Revive Light Therapy is a pretty impressive and powerful device, that definitely works. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because the goggles are bit uncomfortable to wear and the device is very light, which I’m scared after a few falls on my bathroom’s tile floor it will break or crack. I also wished it came with a small pouch or case to store it in.
Revive Light Therapy Acne Treatment retails for $69 and is sold at most Target and Kohl’s stores. You can also purchase it here.
Revive Light Therapy also has a collection of light therapy devices for anti-aging and pain relief.
