If you like craft beer, laid-back blues music, and pigging out on barbecue, then you just might want to head out to the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach this Saturday for their Brews, Blues and BBQ jam/food-fest. As the House of Blues Calendar of Events notes for Aug. 30, the music venue is set to host a rollicking get-together for a sampling of craft beers and barbecue.
According to the website, which gives only a modicum of info, the Brews, Blues, and BBQ shindig will feature at least 30 different kinds of craft beers and barbecue from a host of local vendors. In addition, there will be live blues music starting at 5 p.m. (EST, of course). And at 7 p.m., Hip Kitty, a Christian rock band out of Nashville, Tenn., that has toured extensively and will soon embark on their fourth Armed Forces Entertainment tour, will hit the stage. (An aside, among their achievements (according to their bio at ReverbNation): Hip Kitty has songs on video games “Rockband” and “Music Monsters.)
The Brews, Blues, and BBQ fest is the second big beer-oriented bash at the House of Blues this year. Back at the end of March, the House hosted their 6th Annual Beerfest, where you could sample over 100 different kinds of beer from all across the country. And, of course, there was plenty of live music. Tickets for the Beerfest was $35 in advance and $45 at the door.
The Brews, Blues, and BBQ deal won’t cost you nowhere near as much. You purchase a $5 sampling glass and $1-$4 sampling tickets beer and barbecue samples.
The House of Blues is located in North Myrtle Beach at 4640 Highway 17 South.
