Broadway Global shares the final days of Violet, the final performance is a benefit to support Education at Roundabout. Chorally Violet is astonishing. Bridges of Maddison County may have 2014 Best Score Tony Award, but the Broadway production of Violet is brilliantly directed musically. The dynamic blends of this entire Violet cast of vocal masters are the winners. If the Tony Awards had a Best Music Director, it would have honored Michael Rafter. The World Theatre Award winner Emerson Steele’s (Young Violet) pure sounds and looks match that of Sutton Foster (Violet) so effortlessly, casting must have handed over that contract on the spot. Joshua Henry (Flick) is the sexiest man on Broadway this season with talents to match. Collin Donnell (Monty) exudes a sexual aura that captivates the entire Broadway audience. Violet is a must see, or should we say “must hear” Broadway musical of the season. USA Theatre Chat.
Two time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster gives her most honest performance to date. Hats off to the entire cast and crew: Sutton Foster (Violet), Colin Donnell (Monty), Alexander Germignani (Father), Joshua Henry (Flick), Annie Golden (Old Lady, Hotel Hooker), Levi Kreis (Preacher, Radio Singer, Bus Driver 4), Emerson Steele (Young Violet), Austin Lesch (Virgil, Billy Dean, Bus Driver 2, Radio Singer, Bus Passenger; u/s Monty), Anastacia McCleskey (Music Hall Singer, Bus Passenger), Charlie Pollock (Lery Evans, Radio Soloist, Bus Driver 3, Bus Passenger, u/s Father, u/s Preacher), Jacob Keith Watson (Swing), Rema Webb (Lula Buffington, Almeta, Bus passenger), Varginia Ann Woodruff (Swing), Jennifer Blood (u/s Violet, u/s Old Lady/Hotel Hooker), Emma Howard (u/s Young Violet), Azudi Onyejekwe (u/s Flick).
