This former Special Forces Soldier who served in combat as a member of the Third Special Forces Group in Fort Bragg North Carolina is living by example. The native Texan and Combat veteran embodies all of the traits expected of an elite soldier. A recipient of The Bronze Star medal with a “V” Device for Valor, two Bronze Star Service Medals and The Army Commendation Medal, this former soldier now contributes to society as a proud business owner. In true “De Oppresso Liber” fashion Chris started Old Glory Ammo; a small business that supports the second Amendment to the US Constitution.

“We are currently in the testing phase of our own model of AR15s. Our ARs are going to be high end firearms that have better components and function than leading competitors and not cost the consumer nearly as much. We are anticipating to have final testing done by the beginning of October and will begin production where our rifles can be available online, gun shops in Texas (initially), and at some of the major city gun shows in Texas mid to late October.”

Chris takes pride in being a small business owner living the dream that was made possible by our nation’s founders. In a time of economic strife where everyone sets national pride to the side in trade for the rock bottom price, Chris supports the American Economy by buying and producing American. Not only does Chris and his wife and partner Becca believe in giving back to America, but fellow veterans as well. The Thompsons and Old Glory Ammo only hire veterans and particularly members of Special Operations Forces either current or past for their training cadre. They sponsor local athletes in the sport of Professional Mixed Martial Arts and make every effort to ensure that their sponsored athletes are veterans.
Giving Back
Charity was a huge trait that was revered by America’s founding Fathers. Old Glory Ammo believes in donating to charitable causes. Team red white and blue; a veteran Organization that helps to connect veterans with the community through physical activities. They also support the FOG Foundation. This non-profit is local to Bryan Texas and College Station and specializes in assisting veterans readjust to civilian life after the war. Most recently, Old Glory Ammo sponsored Beast Bash at the VFW in Fort Worth to help raise funding and awareness for VFW Post 8235. Chris and Becca live by the motto of paying it forward.
