The Central Florida Employment Council (CFEC) will be hosting the a Job Fair on November 12th, 2014 at the Central Florida Fair Exposition Park, 4603 W Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL. The CFEC Job Fair begins at 12 noon and ends at 4 PM. Parking and admission is free to all job seekers.
Online pre-registration for the job fair is encouraged but not required. There will be onsite registration available the day of the job fair. Serious job seekers looking for work should dress professionally, practice a pitch when talking to Recruiters and bring resumes. Preparation is the key to success when attending any job fair. A listing of employers is available on the CFCE web site a week before the event. Serious candidates should carefully review the list of participating employers, research specific employers and approach those employers during the job fair. Recruiters appreciate candidates who have taken the time to understand their company and the jobs available before they show up at a job fair.
The Central Florida Employment Council Job Fair is the last of six job fairs hosted by CFEC this year. There were 78 employers recruiting at the last CFEC job fair in July. Historically, these job fairs have been well attended with employers hiring over 1000 positions. CFEC has been providing services to the unemployed for over 20 years in Central Florida area. The mission of the Central Florida Employment Council is to assist Central Florida businesses to quickly fill job vacancies through the effective placement of qualified candidates from within the community. CFEC partners with both local business and government to host job fairs through out the year.

In August the unemployment rate for the state of Florida came in at 6.3% meaning there were 639,100 unemployed statewide. In the Central Florida metro area, unemployment rate has increased somewhat to match the state unemployment rate of 6.3% and slightly higher than the national unemployment rate of 6.2%. never-the-less there remain nearly 76,400 Central Floridians unemployed.
