On Wednesday’s episode of “The Talk” on CBS, all co-hosts entered the “Big Brother” house to promote the premiere of the new season of the popular reality show. Prior to the arrival of this season’s “Big Brother” house guests, the ladies of “The Talk” moved into the “Big Brother” house to compete against each other as part of a special “Big Brother” preview show on the CBS. The new season of “Big Brother” premiered Wednesday night. Julie Chen is the moderator of both “The Talk” and “Big Brother” so it was quite appropriate for one CBS show to promote the other CBS show.
This was the fourth year the ladies on “The Talk” entered the house to salute the start of another season for “Big Brother.” Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler played the game well as they patterned their roles after the real competitions on “Big Brother.”
Inside the house, Julie Chen and co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler spent an afternoon partaking in the “Big Brother” experience, playing an abbreviated version of the game. The first thing the hosts did when they entered the house was to claim their beds and establish alliances. Sheryl suggested she, Sharon and Aisha connect because they all have “sh” in their names. Sheryl called themselves “the SH Coalition.”
The next task was to find the Head of Household key by using clues in a picture on a wall. While everyone else was running around looking for the key, Aisha went into the bathroom and found the key in the Zen sand garden. Finding the key gave her all the power in the household. She had to nominate two people for eviction. So she nominated Sheryl and Sharon even though they were part of the SH Coalition.
Aisha also won the power to veto in a game to be first to untie knots in a long spaghetti rope while dressed as an oversize meatball. Watch the video to see how they played the game. Aisha did not use her power to vote either Sheryl or Sharon out of the house. She left it up to Julie and Sarah who both voted to evict Sheryl. After hearing the news, Sheryl got on the floor and had a temper tantrum. Then Julie said that on the “Brother Brother” show, the house guests really do have to leave when evicted; however, if one of the hosts of “The Talk” had to leave, they all have to leave. So all of the ladies picked up their bags and left as the show went off the air.
“The Talk” airs each weekday on CBS at 2 p.m. “Big Brother” airs each Wednesday and Sunday night at 8 p.m. and on Thursday nights on CBS at 9 p.m.
