When Baylor visits West Virginia on Saturday, the Bears will be bringing the No.1 offense into Morgantown. If you every wondered about their quick strike capability, watch the fourth quarter of their win over TCU. Baylor was down 21 points with 11 minutes left, and came back to win in regulation. That’s fire power.
West Virginia is no slouch when it comes to bringing a dynamic offense to the fold. The Mountaineers have the eighth rated offense, and they’ll have no problem putting up points on a consistent basis. Their only losses are to Alabama and Oklahoma, so West Virginia has plenty of experience playing Top 10 opponents.

Coming into last week, all the talk surrounded Baylor’s defense and how well rounded they are. With the help of turnovers and special teams, Baylor gave up 58 points, before shutting TCU down late in the fourth quarter. Now, they have to face another offensive juggernaut in West Virginia.
Baylor is still a top 10 defense, but it doesn’t look like they will be in this position for long. With their offensive prowess, teams know that the only way to beat Baylor is by out scoring them.
West Virginia averages 368 yards through the air. With the dynamic play of Clint Trickett at quarterback, Kevin White has been one of the most explosive receivers in the country. White already has 61 catches and five touchdowns. If West Virginia earns the upset, Kevin White will have a monster game.
There’s no reason not to expect another pin ball type game between these two teams. The winner has put up 70 points in the last two years. Bryce Petty finally started to roll, and he now has 15 touchdown passes on the season.
Which defense will attack receivers and tackle in space? That will be the team that comes away with a victory.
Baylor is one of six undefeated teams left in the country. Notre Dame or Florida State will catch their first lost on Saturday. If there will be fewer than five undefeated teams left, West Virginia is the best team to make it happen.
