The Disney Cruise Line offers families with small children a cruise vacation with babysitting services and plenty of family activities. Guests traveling with infants as young as 12 weeks old can use the ship’s nursery that is located on Deck 5 of all ships in the Disney fleet. Babysitting can be booked in advance or on the day of embarkation. When not sending the little one to the nursery, you can spend time as a family enjoying the different amenities, activities and entertainment options available on all ships.
It would not be a Disney cruise without a chance to meet and interact with everyone’s favorite Disney characters. Kids of all ages, and adults too, can take time out of the day to meet with the different characters at designated meet and greet locations. Surprise appearances also happen throughout the ship in various locations during the cruise. Character greetings vary from ship to ship and some characters spotted on cruises include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Cinderella, Captain Hook, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck. Character experiences make it possible to get photographs and autographs of the Disney characters, including during the Princess Autograph Session and at the Till We Meet Again Party on the last day of the cruise.
The party starts from the point of embarkation on the Disney Cruise Line with different themed deck parties that are held throughout the cruise. Deck parties last approximately 45 minutes and include themes such as Pirates In the Caribbean with a fireworks finale and Adventures Away! Sail-Away Celebration. Parties include dancing, games and entertainment for the entire family.
Different organized family activities are held throughout the day at Goofy’s Pool, including crafts, water games and entertainment. Goofy’s Pool is located on Deck 9 of all Disney Cruise Line Ships and activities run daily from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. This recreation area includes a themed pool, two whirlpool spas and Pinocchio’s Pizzeria for a quick bite to eat.
