Donald Trump was duped into honoring serial killers on his Twitter page by some prankster out there. He was tweeted a photo of Fred and Rose West, who were notorious serial killers in Britain in the 1960s through the 1980s. Trump was told that they were some man’s dearly departed parents who basically idolized Trump, according to Syracuse News on Sept. 30.
When Trump saw the picture above, which could be a picture from several decades ago of anybody’s parents, he did something nice, or at least that’s what he set out to do. A man named Phillip Bradley tweeted this picture of a generic looking couple and asked Trump to retweet the picture in memory of his parents. He said that Trump was a big inspiration to his parents, according to Mail Online.
The real estate mogul did just that, he didn’t know that the couple were the notorious Fred and Rose West, a married couple, who accused of torturing and murdering women inside their home in Gloucester between 1967 and 1987, according to the Latest.com. You have to think better of Trump for not knowing this, thankfully he doesn’t spend his time reading up on the dregs of society.
If you saw this picture, chances are most of you would not know who this couple was until you read that they were evil personified. Fred West killed himself before his trial, but Rose was sentenced to life for 10 murders she was convicted in.
Trump’s tweets go out to 2.5 million followers, so this was a big-time prank. Someone who has the Donald’s back noticed that the couple were the serial killers and deleted the picture off his website, but not before the photo was shared about 300 times.
Donald Trump tweeted after the photo came down saying:
“Some jerk fraudulently tweeted that his parents said I was a big inspiration to them + pls RT—out of kindness I retweeted. Maybe I’ll sue.”
He continued in another tweet:
“I thought I was being nice to somebody re their parents. I guess this teaches you not to be nice or trusting. Sad!”
Mr. Trump, you were being nice to someone, you did this under the best intentions. Don’t let one idiot change your mind about doing the little things in life, like re-tweeting something that would make a person’s day, get ruined by this one act of deviate behavior.
Chances are most would not have known who these people really were! They look way too generic to be cold-blooded killers! Overall, you really did a good thing, you thought you were helping a man honor his dead parents and that’s based in goodness!
