Dragon Age: Inquisition will be quite possibly one of the biggest games we see all year and potentially, in years. BioWare hasn’t released a Dragon Age installment since they launched Dragon Age II back in 2011, and with expectations at an all-time high for the franchise, big things are hopefully on the way.
When we got a sneak peek at Dragon Age: Inquisition, we noticed the wide range of skills that players will have at their disposal, among these things are the enormous amounts of spells and talents. Dragon Age: Inquisition Executive Producer Mark Darrah revealed that there won’t just be a few spells and talents in this game.
“Every player plays a different role in the party. You are ultimately in control of how they fight and what tactic they will use. Dragon Age: Inquisition includes more than 200 talents and spells to craft your own unique strategy,” Darrah said.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is certainly aiming high with the amount of choice that will be in the hands of players. Choice is always a central theme of any BioWare game and Inquisition won’t be any exception to that. This is a very, very vast world with towering pine trees and snow-covered peaks, making it one of those games that you feel like you can just get really lost in.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be launching on Oct. 7, which could be one of the most crowded launch dates in the history of gaming. Also launching on Oct. 7 are the games NBA LIVE 15, NBA 2K15, Driveclub, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Alien: Isolation.
It’s so hard to believe that the publishers of these games are going to let this happen. Sure these games are just about all in different genres, with the exception of the two basketball games, but you would think people would be smart enough to spread out the releases a little better. Oh and Skylanders Trap Team is launching on Oct. 5.
Crowded release dates aside, Dragon Age: Inquisition is definitely one game out of the lot that we can’t wait to get our hands-on, with all due respect to the other six. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
