It is National Coffee Day and Dunkin’ Donuts in Las Vegas is celebrating by offering a free medium Rainforest Alliance Certified Dark Roast coffee on Sept. 29.
The new brand was introduced at Dunkin’ Donuts’ restaurants in California which uses a roasting process to bring out key characteristics of different beans to create a bold flavor and smooth finish. Dark Roast Coffee is served either hot or iced, and it is also available for sale for brewing at home in both packaged coffee and in K-Cup packs, for use with Keurig Brewing systems. Beginning Sept. 30 through Oct. 5, a medium cup of Dunkin’ Donuts hot Dark Roast Coffee will be sold for the special price of 99 cents.

Almond milk is available to add to the flavor of the beverage. For those who really love their coffee, recipes have been created using the coffee including the Double Dark Roast Pie.
Dunkin’ Donuts new Dark Roast features the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, indicating that it is made with at least 30 percent coffee beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit organization that works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods.
Along with its new coffee, Dunkin’ Donuts introduced the new Dunkin’ Go Bar, a pre-packaged, chewy granola bar made with the flavor of the brand’s Original Blend Coffee. At 220 calories with seven grams of protein, eight B-vitamins and 12 grams of whole grains, the Dunkin’ Go Bar was developed as a convenient, healthy snack. Dunkin’ Go Bars will be available at Las Vegas-area Dunkin’ Donuts’ beginning on Sept. 29.
Coinciding with the launch of its new Dark Roast Coffee, the Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation also launched its National Community Cups Program, in which guests are invited to make a $1 donation at Dunkin’ Donuts. Those who participate will receive a paper Dunkin’ Donuts coffee cup to sign and display at the restaurant. All funds raised will support the foundation’s efforts to serve local communities by eradicating hunger as well as improving children’s health and safety.
