The “Dancing with the Stars” 2014 competition is warming up. Viewers have been voting for their favorites with the results from “DWTS” week two shocking some fans while not surprising others in the least on Sept. 23. So what happened in the ballroom that pushed certain celebrity and pro dance couples forward while one of those couples was told to go home on Tuesday?
That information will be revealed soon. But first, viewers were treated to the encore dance picked by members of the social media site, Twitter. In the end, it was Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy who were chosen to repeat their performance from the night before during an evening that was called “My Jam Monday.”
In addition to that stunning foxtrot danced to “Call Me Maybe,” the Carly Rae Jepsen hit, Nico and Vinz performed as Val was involved in a routine with Karina Smirnoff and Peta Mergatroyd, both of whom were fighting to win him over in terms of romance. Talk about entertaining, especially so since Karina was once engaged to Val’s brother, Maxim. Sadly, the two never married.
But back to the main event. Mark Ballas was the professional dancer who was picked to be represented by his initial audition tape for “Dancing with the Stars.” Other diversions had new judge Julianne Hough dancing with all the buff male pros, including her big brother, Derek and her good friend Mark Ballas.
In other “Dancing with the Stars” news, an announcement during the results show was made stating that Kevin Hart would fill in for Len Goodman next week as the guest judge. Some seemed shocked at this rather strange casting while others can’t wait to see what Hart will say during his brief reign.
That said, throughout the “DWTS” results episode, those who participated in the ABC talent show were made to stand and shake as names were read out as to who was safe and who was in jeopardy. The first couple to find out they were in the latter category were Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater. The first couple to find out they were safe was Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroid,
Also during the course of the evening, Sadie Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” fame and her pro partner, Mark Ballas, were told they too were in jeopardy and could be going home during week two of “Dancing with the Stars” 2014. Then Tavis Smiley and Sharna Burgess were told the same thing.
In the end on “DWTS” 2014 during the results show, Tavis and Sharna were sent packing after a great effort on both their parts.
