Here’s your chance to experience a special early holiday season celebration with friends or family when you attend the Holiday Nutcracker Tea Brunch (that also includes a ballet performance) being held at the historic Hower House in Akron on Sunday, November 9.
Holiday Nutcracker Tea Brunch Presented by Hower House partnered with Tea & Tyme, this elegant event gives guests the chance to enjoy some delicious delicacies and be entertained by a performance by the Stabrova Youth Ballet Company as they dance excerpts from the ballet “The Nutcracker.”
Included on the tea menu will be Sugar Plum Fairy eggnog cream scones, baby greens with mandarin oranges, toasted almonds and slivered red onion with champagne vinaigrette, holiday Florentine spirals, Clara’s blueberry & cream cheese strata, The Mouse King Canadian bacon, Nutcracker chocolate truffles, gingerbread squares and candy cane parfaits.
A Bit About Hower House Built in 1871 in a Second Empire Italianate style by Akron industrialist John Henry Hower and his wife, Susan Youngker Hower, this historic 28 room Victorian mansion is filled with furnishings and unique treasures collected by the Hower family from their travels around the globe. The mansion is open 11 months of the year for public and private tours.
Hours for the Holiday Nutcracker Tea Brunch are 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Cost is $30 for adults and $18 for children (8-12). There is limited seating. Reservations are required .
