“Just living is not enough… one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.” Hans Christian Andersen
“I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.” John Burroughs
“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” John Lubbock
There is nothing more wonderful than a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Looking to the skies is truly inspirational.
It doesn’t matter what your demeanor. Looking up can raise your spirits when you’re down. Just looking to the heavens feeds your soul. A beautiful sunrise or sunset, a partly cloudy sky, or a majestic line of storm clouds.
Nebraska has some of the most beautiful skyscapes. With such a versatility of weather throughout the four seasons, we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to take in the breathless beauty of our morning and evening skies. Not to mention the majestic scenery of the skies on a stormy evening.
With fall quickly approaching, we not only have our beautiful skies, but the wonderful changes in color of our trees and foliage. It is absolutely breathtaking, and just finding the amazement in the nature around us can bring such a serene feeling.
Sometimes we can get overwhelmed with life. Things that are actually so trivial, seem to close in on us. Holding your problems at a distance, seeing them for what they are, can save your sanity. Looking to the heavens and appreciating the beauty around you, well, gives you a sense of being a part of something bigger. A part of something called life. You are meant to enjoy it.
An awesome quote, “The good thing about problems is that a great many of them do not exist.” Things are going to happen beyond our control, so let go of the controls. Let life happen, relax, don’t worry so much. Be okay with who and where you are. Love to live, love your family, love your good friends; because, you only have one life. Stay away from the negative people if possible. If not possible, just see them for who they are, and realize that they obviously have their own issues. Be happy you are not in their miserable skin.
Remember, look to the heavens to lift your spirits, stay in touch with your inner child, and never stop being amazed. Please enjoy the slideshow and video. The video is ‘I Wanna Rock’, by the very influential ‘80’s band, Twisted Sister. Who by the way is still making appearances! Don’t allow too many hands on your life’s steering wheel. Rock your life the way you choose.
