We’ve created this List to showcase the latest iteration of yeahstub.com which will be released the evening of Wednesday, September 24. The new site features an enhanced reader experience, is more tablet and mobile friendly and includes a plethora of new ways to feature and share all of the site’s impressive content.
The layout of the site has changed to increase readability and the typography has been improved. Visitors and users will immediately notice a cleaner, less cluttered blueprint that encourages readers to consume more in each setting.
Writers now have the ability to highlight their most important work and author names and bio pics are more prominently featured. Readers can navigate the site with ease and find related content at every click.
We hope you will be as excited as we are about the new yeahstub.com experience.
All audience-facing pages have been redesigned including the homepage, channel pages, subchannel pages and article pages. The homepage will highlight content from all of our superchannels along with trending and recent articles.
We’ve increased the size of contributor bio pics on article pages and changed the location to somewhere more prominent. We think you’ll find it a lot more eye-catching.
You can expand the bio to read the full text on the same page and also incorporate social media platforms.
Easier to share articles
We’ve enlarged the sharing buttons and incorporated them in multiple locations on the article page. The sharing buttons have also been made more prominent below the byline.
More relevant content
Readers come to an article and want to see a mix of relevant and popular content. Most likely in that order, so we’ve bumped up the related content and increased the number of articles featured. Trending content on yeahstub.com will be featured below and highlight the articles that currently rank as the most popular on the site.
Below the bio pic on assignment title pages, contributors now have the ability to feature any three articles they desire. These could be best-performing articles, exclusive breaking news items or feel-good stories that deserve more eyeballs. Consider it a “greatest hits” section.
Easier to subscribe
We’ve added a subscribe button to the bottom of all article pages directly at the end of the text. Readers who want to receive notifications when this author publishes a new article can simply click this button, add their email, confirm the subscription and never miss another important post.
Video in Lists
Our List articles continue to evolve. The one-page List now features the ability to embed videos from approved sources including those available in the Pub Tool and YouTube. Authors can incorporate Instagram posts, Tweets and videos to create a rich multi-media experience.
More promotional spots
Every article will now feature two promotional spots in the left rail featuring highlighted stories from that channel. These spots will be curated by our editorial staff and showcase exceptional, topical articles that appeal to a wide audience.
Better mobile and tablet experience
The new yeahstub.com platform was designed with even more emphasis on improving the mobile and tablet user experience. An overall cleaner and more compact layout will benefit smartphone users, who need easy and immediate access to articles without unnecessary distractions. Meanwhile, tablet users will find a more agile responsive layout that provides a beautiful, intuitive interface for exploring all of the content and media on yeahstub.com.
