The latest news surrounding EL James and the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie is something fans of the best-selling novel may very well blush at. Jamie Dornan — who will be starring as Christian Grey in the “50 Shades” adaptation — recently revealed his opinion on being naked on the silver screen, and it wasn’t too much of an endorsement. Such a statement, of course, has left some fans wondering wither Dornan will be on board for the sequels. HNGN News also reported this Monday, October 6, 2014, that the inner goddess author has confirmed she is writing a new book, and her new novel will be a romance but with some fresh characters.
Before getting into the steamy — if surprising — update surrounding our Christian Grey and his (lack of) interest in nudity for the upcoming movie, EL James’ confirmation of a next series of books is most definitely exciting. James has mentioned bringing back a fourth installment into the existing “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy, but prior to that, is apparently looking at a fresh series to debut sometime around 2016 or a bit later.
The report notes that she is currently hard at work creating a cast of characters for an entirely new book, encouraged by so many of her fans requesting that she deliver a new writing project. It seems that even with the millions of dollars the inner goddess author has made reeling countless readers into the world of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, she is not finished whatsoever.
“Fans of E. L. James have been clamoring for news of her next books. The author of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy apparently is not just buying new ties with her excessive amount of royalties. She’s been able to focus just on writing- and working on her new projects,” shared Roger Friedman this week.
According to the source site, the new book will still involve some hardcore romance and sexual tension — yes, there will definitely be bondage in store — but with a novel set of leads. So while Christian and Ana may get to continue their love affair in later stories, that’s not first on E.L. James’ to-do list in the coming years.
“She really wants to try something with new people, but still a romance,” a source said. “And of course there will be some bondage.”
This particular novel is expected to hit the shelves no earlier than 2016, so we do have a bit of a wait in store for us. Until then, the fire of our expectations for another “Fifty Shades of Grey” can keep us all hot and bothered. And it may not just be a sequel — a prequel is another real possibility.
“As for ‘Fifty Shades,’ the saga isn’t over,” the insider continued. “I’m told a fourth chapter isn’t ruled out. And then there’s a prequel cooking on a backburner. ‘Everyone wants to hear more about Christian Grey’s early years,’ my source says.”
In the most recent “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie news, Cosmopolitan unveils that Jamie Dornan shocked some fans this week with an admonition about his titular role as the dominant lead, Christian Grey. Although he’s allegedly being sworn to secrecy about not revealing any details of the film, the actor has made clear that the attention he receives from fans is overwhelming. Such a role is apparently the first time he has been thrust into a spotlight of this magnitude:
“It’s actually too insane,” Dornan admitted of the fame. The Christian Grey actor joked, “If it’s [too much] a nightmare, we’ll move to Outer Mongolia or something, and live in a yurt.”
It also seems that the model is “sick” of the nude scenes as well, and gave a frank talk about not wanting to be naked or involved in heavy sex scenes anytime soon.
“I’m sick of it. Sick of it,” he added.
Does this mean that we may need a Christian Grey for our sequel films, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed?” Possibly, but it’s hopeful that this may just be Dornan having a laugh or laying it on in preparation for the upcoming film.
Are you looking forward to the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” fellow fans? And what do you think of the news pertaining to E.L. James’ new book? Whether it’s in the Red Room of Pain or the Charlie Tango, it looks like the inner goddess is ready to take us to new places with new positions to explore.
