After a relatively quiet (and temperate) July, the Boston food event scene is heating up once again. We just cleared National Farmers Market Week. New restaurants like Hojoko are on the grill. Food hubs and culinary incubators like Pearl, Tasting Counter and Wink and Nod are simmering. And it’s nearly time to serve Restaurant Week (now called “Dine Out Boston”).

Starting at 7 p.m. in the Grafton Street Pub & Grill in Harvard Square, Boston Food Biz Network hosts its monthly Networking for Food Entrepreneurs, always a great watering hole for meeting and idea-swapping with local food entrepreneurs of all kinds.
August 13 | Mass Innovation Nights Foodie #7 | Boston, Mass
From 6-8:30 p.m. in Boston’s District Hall, MINFoodie7 is Mass Innovation’s bi-annual Foodie Edition and not to be missed. Networking and product showcase starts at 6:00 p.m., with presentations at 7 p.m. You MUST register to attend and it’s nearly full.
August 28 | Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship Night | Cambridge, Mass
This month, The Venture Cafe at Cambridge Innovation Center is partnering with Branchfood and The Food Loft to host its 2nd annual Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship Night. Sunday September 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. is this year’s Boston Local Food Festival on Rose Kennedy Greenway, showcasing farmers, local restaurants, food trucks, specialty food producers, fisher folks, and organizations focused on healthy food and fitness from across New England. “Healthy Local Food for All” is this year’s theme and the festival connects Massachusetts and New England eaters of all backgrounds with the abundance of fresh, nutritious local food choices available close to home.
