With the NFL season kick-off in the foreseeable future (it will go by fast, right?!), it’s time to start thinking about your new favorite place to catch the game and get into pigskin spirit. For Bronco’s fans, the downtown outpost of ELWAY’S steak houses, co-owned by Denver Broncos quarterback and NFL Hall of Fame inductee, John Elway, has completed renovations to its lounge, bar and dining room. ELWAY’S Downtown showed off the enhancements during an unveiling celebration with John Elway himself, whom was pleased with the upgrades and the new private room, fittingly named ‘John’s Room’.
Aspen-based design and architecture firm, Rowland+Broughton, was selected to spearhead the nearly five-month long project. The dining room’s most stunning modification is the remarkable Onyx stone wall that acts a divider from the bar. Perhaps the most notable addition to the restaurant is a new private dining room – or ‘John’s Room’ — which can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests and offers a private viewing window into the bustling kitchen; the space is ideal for celebrations, meetings or for those seeking a more dynamic dining experience. The room is equipped with an HD-TV with audio visual capabilities as well as locally made, custom created tables and credenzas — some using recycled, natural wood resources locally referred to as Beetle Kill Pine. It’s just another reason this award-winner it’s still at the top.
And for football fans in L.A, even though there’s no hometown team, there are plenty of local options to catch a game! Manning fans gather at Brennan’s Pub in Marina Del Rey (also home to a stellar Ritz-Carlton location), it’s a great choice for sports, live music and even Turtle Races.
The home opener for the Orange Crush is September 7th, so for Denver, this is the perfect place to grab a beer and cheer. But no matter what team you’re rooting for, it’s never too early to start getting ready for an epic season…
