It’s almost time for Halloween, and Louisville theater is celebrating early. Already, there are plenty of shows Halloween season related (Dracula, Evil Dead), and this week, two more shows start at the right time of year. Centerstage presents Sweeney Todd, about a barber with intentions other than cutting hair. On the comedic side, The Bard’s Town presents The Roast of Dracula. It’s set up like the Comedy Central or Dean Martin roasts you’ve probably seen before, but the characters that roast Dracula on these nights are highly interesting (among other presenters is the Phantom of the Opera).
If you’re not in the Halloween mood, check out the other shows going on, and there are plenty. Also, get ready for the auditions that are coming up.
