“We should never try to deny the beast, the animal within us.” Dr. George Waggner-The Howling
“I am NOT human. And I will not risk spending the rest of my days as one. Diseased and flawed… we’re better than that.” Varek-Skinwalkers
Shape shifters have always been intriguing. Life gets monotonous, dull. What could be any cooler than being able to be something else for a while?
One of legends favorite shape shifters, and that of novels, motion pictures, and television, is the Werewolf. The hairy, scary creature, is also a favorite costume among trick ‘or’ treaters, at Halloween.
We want to give tribute here to the men, who have truly given us a chill in their motion picture transformation. The transformation from human to flesh ripping, flesh eating, morphed out dog! We are talking about the Werewolf of course. Big time kudos to the make-up artists as well.
#5. Silver Bullet
This is another great movie, following another great book, by Stephen King. Silver Bullet stars Gary Busey, the late Corey Haim, and Everett McGill. McGill also starred as the creepy child eater in ‘The People Under the Stairs’…a Wes Craven film.
#4 Van Helsing/2004
Sexy Vampires and raging Werewolves in this 2004, action packed, monster movie. Van Helsing stars the sexy as hell Hugh Jackman and just as sexy Kate Beckinsale.
#3. An American Werewolf in London/1981
Awesome possum effects in this 1981 horror movie. Also, some scary good, dark humor. David Naughton (also known as the Dr. Pepper dude, at the time) and Jenny Aguttero (the sexy chick from ‘Logan’s Run’) star.
#2. The Wolfman/2010
Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins rock, in this remake of the 1941 horror flick, ‘The Wolfman’; which, starred Lon Chaney Jr., Claude Rains, and Ralph Bellamy.
#1. The Howling/1981
Eddie Quist (Robert Picardo) has a thing for reporter Karen White (Dee Wallace, also from ET the Extraterrestial, and Cujo). Christopher Stone, Dee’s hubby, also stars in this creepy ’80’s flick. This transformation from creepy dude, to murderous monster, is our #1.
#5. Silver Bullet
Hmmmm…..why does he have to use a bat? Lazy damn Werewolf….
#4. Van Helsing/2004
Werewolf or Vampire? Who do you think is the baddest on the block?
#3. An American Werewolf in London
Awesome! Get to see the Dr. Pepper dude’s butt!
#2 The Wolfman
The movie was remade in Italy…he rips them apart! Go Benicio…you animal, you!
#1. The Howling
Our #1…this is due to creepiness, storyline, and a star studded ’80’s cast. Holy crap, Slim Pickens even had a role in this flick. He was one of the nutty, insane werewolves, at the colony! By the way…Karen has plenty of time to run…what the hell?!
