Before your little trick-or-treaters go out for candy they will need dinner. Below is a spooky dinner sure to make them smile.
· 6 eggs
· ¼ cup mayonnaise
· 7-ounce jar green olives with pimentos
· Red food color
You will also need: Saucepan, knife, teaspoon, and toothpick
1- Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Heat water until it begins to boil. Then turn the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
2- Place the cooked eggs in cold water. When they are cool enough to touch crack the eggs and peel away shells.
3- Cut eggs in half widthwise. Remove the yolks form the eggs.
4- Mix yolks with mayonnaise until smooth and fill the empty yolk holes with mixture.
5- Press an olive into the middle of each yolk mixture. With pimiento facing up.
6- Final touch, dip toothpick in red food coloring and draw broken blood vessels in yolk mixture.
Frank-in Stein Chili
· 1 10 oz can chili beans in chili sauce
· 1 14oz package of little smokie hotdogs
· 2 cups shredded cheese
You will also need: beer steins and long-handled spoons,
1- Prepare chili and smokies according to can and package directions.
2- With spoons divide up warm chili and smokies into each stein.
3- Final touch, Top with shredded cheese and long spoon.
Haunted Orange/Apple Slushy
1 64 oz bottle Apple juice
1 12 oz can of orange juice concentrate thawed.
1 large bottle of lemon/line carbonated beverage.
You will also need: blender and glasses
Freeze apple juice in ice cube trays.
You will make this drink in 1/3 batches
Fill blender with 1/3 apple ice cubes, and 1/3 orange juice concentrate. Blend.
Scoop about ½ cup of Orange/Apple mixture in a 10oz glass. Slowly add carbonated beverage.
Top with a Halloween spoon or stir stick.
