The Verizon IndyCar Series returns to Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania for the Pocono IndyCar 500 Fueled by Sunoco, Saturday and Sunday, July 5th and 6th. The Firestone Indy Lights Series is also on the racing card that weekend.
The Pocono IndyCar 500 is the second leg in the IndyCar Triple Crown, which also includes the Indy 500, won by Ryan Hunter-Reay, and the season-ending August 30th event at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
Grandstand gates open at 8 a.m. ET both mornings. The Indy Lights will practice at 9 a.m.ET, while the IndyCars will practice at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. ET. Indy Lights qualifying takes place at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by the race at 3:45 p.m. ET. IndyCar Series qualifying for Sunday’s race takes place at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday. Sunday’s Pocono IndyCar 400 goes green at 1 p.m. ET.
