Stop Saying SUNY Students Didn’t Cause any Damage Saturday Night.
If one more person tells me that the SUNY Brockport students didn’t cause any damage Saturday night, I’m going to scream.
This morning it was a village trustee who tried to feed me that bunch of bull.
When I said, “What do you mean?”
He looked at me with a straight face and said, “Other than your chrysanthemums.”
As if it was perfectly okay, for the SUNY Brockport student, to vandalize my flower beds, or anybody’s flower beds.
What an insult!
It’s easier to spout the SUNY Brockport party line than it is to find out what really happened and do something about it.
An apology is in order, but I doubt I’ll ever get it.
Quite simply, if you can’t get your facts straight than at least be polite enough to keep quiet.
It is simply untrue to claim that the SUNY Brockport students didn’t do any damage in the village Saturday night. To keep it short and simple, it’s a lie to say no damage was done, and I dare anyone to prove otherwise.
There may not have been damage in your neighborhood, or on your street, or on your property, but there was more than enough damage on Utica Street and King Street to serve notice to the whole village that the SUNY students spent a lot of time destroying things last Saturday night.
Drunken SUNY Brockport students tore out dozens of chrysanthemums from the flower bed in front of my house. How would you feel if they did that to your house?
Then they tossed the Chrysanthemums on my front porch and on two of my neighbor’s yards north of my house.
Then they walked up the street and vandalized the flower garden outside the Alumni House on campus.
According to the Brockport Police Department, there were several instances of malicious mischief, including smashing the windshield of a car on main Street, and smashing the rear window of another car in the village.
And that’s just what people reported. Many village residents don’t bother to report the damage students do because they don’t want to bother the police.
The propaganda campaign that there was no damage done on Saturday night was started with Kathryn “Katy” Wilson, SUNY Brockport’s Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs.
Wilson was not accurate when she told the D&C on Sunday that, “I think the students showed restraint,” she said, then adding that there was no damage to property.
What a load of hogwash (some people would say Bu _ _ Sh _ _ and they would be absolutely right).
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
Hitler’s Propaganda Minister
Yesterday, Ms. Wilson told WHAM channel 13, “I’d hate to get confused by the facts.”
Duh! She already seems to be confused by the facts.
Maybe it’s time for Brockport residents to educate Ms. Wilson on what actually happens after she goes home on Friday evening and the students come out to party on Friday and Saturday nights.
This kind of obnoxious behavior happens every Friday and Saturday night. Each and every village resident has a story to tell about how the SUNY Brockport Students have done stupid infantile things in our neighborhood.
Let’s share those stories with Ms. Wilson. Maybe the light bulb will go on in her head.

The more the merrier folks; maybe she’ll wake up and face reality.
