BGR notes that this tidbit of information stems from Re/code, which was spot on with its iPhone 6 event date scoop in September. Despite October 21 appearing like a sure bet since the 2013 iPad Air was announced on October 22, until Apple sets a date, we must all rumors with a proverbial grain of salt.
The exact iPad Air 2 release date is a mystery, although speculation points towards November, as its predecessor was released around that time last year. The revised tentative announcement date for the Apple iPad Air 2 arrives hot on the heels of reports that the tablet will be available in a gold color option.
