This is the perfect way to spend a pleasant autumn evening in the historic district of Phoenix, Arizona. Gather up your co-workers, organization, family and friends and head down to the cemetery. You will enjoy the fresh outdoor air, watch the sun fade into dusk, and gather with friends to enjoy a great candlelight dinner in a Victorian setting. Old West, Victorian, Edwardian, Steampunk, or period dress is encouraged.
The practice of communing in cemeteries is nothing new. Back in the 1800’s and early 1900’s.families would spend Sunday afternoons in the cemetery with their loved ones—both dead and alive. It was an excepted practice and an excellent means of reconnecting with those in our lives who had passed on. Couples walked hand in hand along the pathways gazing at the fine artwork on tombstones, while women strolled along and admired the landscaping and various flowers in bloom.
Raffles! Raffles! Raffles! Additional raffle tickets will be available for $2 or 3 tickets for $5.
Donations are always welcomed!
