A very disturbing rumor has emerged about former First Lady Jackie Kennedy and nude pictures that were allegedly leaked to the public by her ex-husband. Allegedly, a series of private photos of Jacqueline Onassis in various levels of undress were taken without her permission, and her then second husband, Aristotle Onassis, supposedly was behind the release of the unclad pictures out of spite for his wife during their strained marriage.

Jackie O’s naked picture scandal is detailed in a book titled, The Good Son: JFK Jr. and the Mother He Loved. New York Times bestselling author, Christopher Andersen, talked about the shocking photo spread in his biography of Jacqueline Kennedy. He accuses her “rich as Croesus” hubby Onassis of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against Kennedy, according to the National Enquirer report.
Jackie Kennedy’s marriage to the Greek shipping tycoon was besieged by stress almost from the start. There are reports Onassis’ husband used his wealth to control her, but she put up a wall of resilience and wasn’t having it.
Additionally, tabloids of the time ran headlines suggestive of Ari’s ongoing affair with opera singer Maria Callas, whom he allegedly didn’t go out of his way to conceal. With threats of divorce from both sides, the nude pictures of Jacqueline Kennedy emerged.
Supposedly, when Jackie O “stepped out of line,” her wealthy and eccentric husband used his media connections to bully former First Lady Kennedy. And when the “nudie cutie” pictures hit tabloids, she promptly filed to end her marriage. However, a short time later, Aristotle, suddenly took ill and died in Paris from respiratory failure.
Jackie O’, according to sources close to the former Kennedy first lady, obsessed over her children’s safety and felt Onassis could provide a level of protection for them with his wealth and distance from the West. However, supposedly, Jacqueline and Aristotle were unhappy in their marriage until his death. Quinn weighs in on their marriage of seven years.
“I know that people were shocked later on when she married Aristotle Onassis, and that was a marriage of conveyance. I think that she married him for his money and to get away from the United States. It was clearly not a love match…
“I think the public looked down on that marriage. I think everyone saw it for what it was. First of all, Onassis was an unbelievably unattractive guy. And so the idea of the fairy princess being married off to the toad was very disappointing to a lot of people, and I think that hurt her image…I think it was a very sad time in her life.”
When the nude pictures of Jackie Kennedy emerged, it was the last straw. Ahead of that, she apparently endured mental abuse from her husband’s manipulation. NE insiders told of a shocking revelation in the couple’s volatile marriage when Aria openly bragged of his affair.
“I’m f***ing Maria Callas, I’m f***ing Jacqueline Kennedy – and I’m f***ing rich.”
After the death of her second husband, Kennedy is said to have accepted a settlement of $20 million or so from her husband’s heir. She then retreated to New York and lived out her dream in becoming an editor. There, she worked with Viking Press and later to Doubleday.
Despite the scandal with the leakage of Jacqueline Kennedy’s nude photos, it didn’t lessen her allure and mystique. Even today, the world is fascinated about the beauty and mystery of her persona.
“She epitomized elegance in the post–World War II era. There’s never been a first lady like Jacqueline Kennedy, not only because she was so beautiful but because she was able to name an entire era ‘Camelot’ … no other first lady in the 20th century will be able to have that aura. She’s become an icon,” said historian Douglas Brinkley.
