Jennifer Aniston dashed pregnancy rumors after showing off her slender waist on the red carpet of the 2014 Toronto Film Festival. In the photos (at right), Aniston definitely does not look pregnant, contradicting tabloid rumors that she’s in her third trimester.
“Jennifer is NOT pregnant,” her rep told the NY Post. “The whole story is a complete fabrication, all the way from a supposed cancelled SmartWater shoot to Jennifer asking for a late check-out in Toronto and to her stylist having to rework her wardrobe. None of this ever happened and shame on ‘Us’ magazine for once again getting it all wrong.”
Aniston had ignited new pregnancy reports after sporting a baby bump at the Aug. 27 premiere of her new film, “Life of Crime.” Sources had told OK! Jennifer was three months pregnant after undergoing IVF (in-vitro fertilization) treatments.
According to an insider, Jennifer had her eggs frozen and started getting IVF treatments in 2012, shortly after she started dating fiance Justin Theroux. However, the pregnancy rumors are false.
Meanwhile, new reports on Sept. 25 claim Aniston may be planning to adopt a baby soon. “She hasn’t decided entirely,” a source told Life & Style. “Surrogacy [is] another possibility for Jennifer because she definitely does want to have kids.”
Are the Pregnancy Rumors a Clever Marketing Ploy?
The pregnancy reports always seem to hit a fever pitch whenever Jennifer is promoting a new movie. She stirred rumors she was pregnant in August 2013 when she was photographed with a rounded belly at the premiere of “We’re the Millers.” Cynics might argue that looking pregnant on the red carpet is a clever ploy to generate more attention to her new films.
Aniston has been the target of pregnancy rumors numerous times over the years, and commented with frustration that every time she gains a few pounds, they start up again. In August 2014, Jennifer told “Good Morning America” she was happy being child free and is annoyed that she’s seen as less of a woman because she’s not a mother.
“I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my value as a woman because I haven’t birthed a child,” she said. “I’ve birthed a lot of things, and I feel like I’ve mothered many things. And I don’t feel it’s fair to put that pressure on people.”
Weight Loss Secrets Are Yoga and Low Carb Diet
Jennifer is in incredible shape at 45, thanks to a low-carb diet and yoga workouts with her longtime friend and yoga teacher, Mandy Ingber. Despite her busy schedule, Aniston always makes time to practice yoga, even if it means doing it by Skype.
Ingber, who also trains actress Kate Beckinsale, said Aniston and Beckinsale rely on yoga to stay physically and emotionally fit. Mandy, who has practiced yoga with Jennifer for more than 20 years, said Jennifer stays fit year-round with a healthy low-carb diet and yoga workouts that incorporate cardio exercise and strength moves.
Mandy said consistency is Aniston’s weight loss and fitness secret. Ingber told me in an exclusive interview that she and Aniston typically do yoga together three days a week.
While Jennifer works out to look good, she said exercise, especially yoga, is critical for emotional and psychological health. “My ultimate stress reliever is exercise!” said Aniston. “If yoga didn’t exist, I’d invent it.”
When Jennifer wants to slim down, she cuts carbs from her diet. The 5-foot-5 Aniston previously revealed that her ideal weight is 110 to 113 pounds. “I usually give myself bread on the weekends, but really, my body doesn’t love carbs,” she said.
