Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been staying with her parents for the past few weeks instead of her husband, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, fueling rumors that the couple is fighting and splitting. According to an Oct. 29 CelebDirtyLaundry report, “Kate Middleton is living with her mother at Bucklebury rather than at home with Prince William at Kensington Palace. Are Kate and Will fighting?”
“Exclusive sources provided an update and unfortunately tell us that Kate Middleton and Prince William are still fighting, and that Kate didn’t want to return to Kensington Palace just yet.”
The rumors that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke are having marital problems are also fueled by the fact that Kate made a few public appearances last week without William. Is there really trouble in the royal paradise?
Of course there is, but the royal drama is not between Kate and William, but between a commoner and other royals. It certainly beats any Kardashian reality TV.
In regard to the alleged fighting between Kate and William, there is none. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is about 14 weeks pregnant with her second child and who has been suffering with severe morning sickness, is staying with her parents Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton in their Bucklebury home to help with 15-month-old George. According to an Oct. 28 The Telegraph report, “the Duchess, 32, who is around 14 weeks pregnant, has been suffering with severe morning sickness and has been staying with Prince William and Prince George at the Middleton’s home in Bucklebury.”
Where the royal drama is heating up – and is putting Kate Middleton in the middle – involves Williams grandmother, his step-mother, and his cousin. As in any family, the drama intensifies when it comes to the holidays or special occasions.
Queen Elizabeth is criticizing Kate for spending too much money on home renovations and wanting to move farther away. Even though the Queen is generally fond of Kate, does that mean that she has to invite Kate’s parents to the traditional family gathering at Elizabeth’s Sandringham House for lunch on Christmas Day? While Kate, William and Prince George have already been invited to this years’ holiday occasions, the rest of the Middleton family has been left off of the guest list.
“The snub is raising quite a few eyebrows because Queen Elizabeth has been forced to accept Kate’s family into the fold since her mother, Carole Middleton often takes care of the future heir to the throne, baby George.”
Camilla Parker Bowles, Kate’s mother-in-law, is adding spice to the family drama. Camilla’s resentment towards Kate “is epic,” reports Music Times, but even more reason to hate Prince William’s commoner wife goes to Princess Beatrice, the first child and elder daughter of Prince Andrew, the second son and third child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip — and the sixth in line to the throne.
“The problem seems to be that Beatrice feels upstaged by Middleton at every turn. Sources say she was gearing up to officially announce her engagement to Dave Clark when Middleton’s second pregnancy was announced instead.”
A separation of Kate Middleton and Prince William might understandably be welcomed by Camilla Parker Bowles and Princess Beatrice. However, while the royals have been relegated to attending garden parties and cutting ribbons, the Duchess of Cambridge – though she is a commoner – continues to gain worldwide attention. “The royal family is just like any other family out there. There seems to be a bit of a notion that being part of the monarchy means things are easier, when in fact some of the battles that occur behind the scenes are uglier than a Kardashian fight playing out in the media.”
