Khloe Kardashian has embarked on a strict weight loss and workout regimen to lose 10 pounds, contradicting rumors she is pregnant with ex-boyfriend French Montana’s baby.
Kardashian has been photographed going to and from celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson’s gym almost every day for the past three weeks in a bid to shed the 10 pounds she has gained since splitting from French Montana.
Khloe recently joked that her weight gain was “sympathy weight,” as she has been eating more because of sister Kourtney, who’s pregnant with her third child.
“I am determined to get my pre-Hamptons, pre-sympathy Kourtney pregnancy weight off,” Khloe wrote on Instagram. “Nothing good comes easy.”
Kardashian, who has struggled with weight her entire life, has admitted battling poor self-esteem.
The 5-foot-10 Khloe, who has been called “Bigfoot,” “Sasquatch,” “fat tranvestite” and “ugly sister” in print and in person, is proud she never gave in to bullying by becoming anorexic or resorting to extreme plastic surgery (see video).
“It’s so easy to fall victim to public bullying,” Kardashian told Cosmopolitan. “I understand why so many people in this industry have eating disorders or want plastic surgery, and I’m proud I’ve done things the healthy way and haven’t felt bullied into having my face operated on. I’m not against it. When I’m older, you never know.”
In January 2014, Khloe revealed she lost 30 pounds toward the end of 2013 by working out four to five days a week doing boxing and lots of cardio exercise. Khloe also hiked, did Pilates, and circuit-trained. “I’ve lost around 30 pounds, and I’m feeling good,” said Kardashian. “I’ve worked very hard on my body so I think now I can sex it up a little!
While Khloe’s sister Kim lost 56 pounds on a low carb ketogenic-style Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams, Khloe doesn’t follow a particular diet, but makes sure to eat small portions of healthy foods. “I don’t deprive myself of food,” she said. “It’s everything in moderation, so if I need something sweet I’ll have a bite or two.”
Kardashian is now a confident young woman, but said she was deeply hurt when her mother, Kris Jenner, suggested she get plastic surgery as a child.
“She didn’t mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job,” Khloe recalled. “I was shocked. I hadn’t even thought about it. I’ve grown into my face but I’ve had makeup artists tell me, ‘You should get a nose job.'”
Khloe has steadfastly refused to cave in to the pressure to get plastic surgery, but admitted her mom’s comments haunt her to this day. “Words are the most powerful weapon,” she said. “They can leave scars forever.”
Khloe’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, has recently become the target of plastic surgery rumors after showing off her changing looks on Instagram. Kendall hasn’t commented on the rumors, but six plastic surgeons insisted Jenner did get lip injections and other cosmetic surgery, including a possible brow life.
Khloe’s stepfather, Bruce Jenner, has also been in the headlines amid rampant rumors that he’s seeking sex change surgery to fulfill his longtime desire to be a woman.
