Kiehl’s is a huge supporter of HIV and AIDS charities and continued to partner with amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, and the fifth annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR. Through partnerships with organizations like amfAR, as well as the Magic Johnson AIDS Foundation, and YouthAIDS, Kiehl’s has proudly donated approximately $3,000,000 for the cause overall!
Inspired by Kiehl’s history with motorcycles, spirit of adventure, and philanthropic heritage, and with the mission to continue to heighten awareness and raise funds for amfAR, the company embarks on the fifth annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, an 11-day, multi-stop charity motorcycle ride taking place August 2 – 12, 2014, from Milwaukee to New York City. Celebrating at six retail stores along the route, the company will donate a total of $150,000 over the course of the ride. At each stop, the public met the riders, learned more about amfAR, and contributed to the organization.
Kiehl’s also sponsored a monumental, open-to-the-public dedication of The AIDS Memorial Quilt, on August 11 and 12th on Governor’s Island, New York. Kiehl’s and the LifeRiders invite New Yorkers sponsored activities associated with major displays of The Quilt including: unfolding ceremonies, new panel dedications and the Reading of Names for the duration of the display. This program marked the first time in nearly two decades that the City of New York has hosted The AIDS Memorial Quilt with a display of this magnitude.
