Officially scheduled for release on October 1 at LEGO stores, the LEGO Minifigures Series 12 features another 16 minifigures that are sure to impress collectors and fans of LEGO minifigures. Featuring unique character designs and accessories, there is bound to be at least one LEGO minifig that will suit your personality or work well with your existing LEGO themes.
As is customary of the LEGO Minifigures series, each minifig comes in a blind bag so it’s hard to determine which minifig you just bought until you buy it. At about $3.99 per blind bag, buyers generally want any advantage in knowing which minifigure lies inside its LEGO blind bag. The best way again is to feel out the accessories inside those bags to determine which minifgures are inside and whether it is what you want. Happy huting and collecting.
Which minifigures are you hoping to find?
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Dino Tracker
Dubbed the Dino Tracker, this female minifig looks more of a mix between “The Walking Dead” and “The Hunger Games.” Her bow is the same design as Hawkeye from “The Avengers” and is distinctive enough to feel inside the blind bag. The syringe is a nice green color that adds to sci-fi LEGO themes. The ragged clothing and bandolier on the torso makes for some good guerilla warfare minifig characters.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Space Miner
The Space Miner features a space suit that varies from the usual LEGO Space themes. The easiest thing to feel for is the space suit chest pack or the space gun and separate drill piece.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Swashbuckler
The Swashbuckler would make an excellent addition to LEGO pirate themes. Just feel out the rapier inside the blind bag to indentify him. Though take caution with the rapier as it is thin and easily bent.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Battle Goddess
The Battle Goddess who may or may not be Athena is an example of a powerful female LEGO minifig. Her indivual accessories can be mistaken for other minifigs. Her round shield can be mistaken for the Hun Warrior. The thin staff that makes up her shield can be mistaken for the Swashbuckler’s rapier or the Wizard’s staff. So feel out both a round shield and a staff to fish her out.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Jester
The Jester adds some comical relief to LEGO castle themes. The Jester hat can be mistaken for Piggy Guy’s pig head. Feel out the two 2×1 plates representing his cards. If there is only one 2×1 plate inside the blind bag, it’s more likely to be Video Game Guy.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Wizard
The Wizard has several unique elements to feel for. The pointed hat and sloped piece in lieu of legs are shared with the Fairytale Princess. Feel for the beard and staff as well as the aforementioned hat & sloped piece.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Piggy Guy
Piggy Guy is the latest in a series of LEGO minifigs who resemble animals like bees or chickens. The pig head can be mistaken for the Jester’s hat, so feel for the ears of the head and the apple.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Hun Warrior
The Hun Warrior is like an Asian version of most warriors previously issued. His shield can be mistken for the Battle Goddess’, so feel for a shield and a long sword. A pair of horns will help confirm.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Fairytale Princess
The Fairytale Princess has a hat and sloped piece similar to the Wizard. Feel for her frog or the Wizard’s other accessories to differentiate.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Pizza Delivery Man
No city is complete without pizza delivery and the LEGO city theme is no exception. Pizza Delivery Man is easily identified by feeling out the 2×2 plate representing the pizza box and the 2×2 disc representing the pizza.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Video Game Guy
Gamers are finally represented in LEGO form with Video Game Guy. The headphones may be difficult to feel out, so feel for the lone 2×1 plate representing the video game controller.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Spooky Girl
Spooky Girl is either a Goth or resembles one of those Japanese horror film characters. Her teddy bear is unique within this series of minifigs.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Prospector
The Prospector fits well for WIld West LEGO themes. The pick-axe is a defiinte tell and easy to feel out. It’s not a unique accessory, but the Prospector is still a nice minifig to add on.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Genie Girl
Genie Girl has a unique shape in lieu of legs or sloped pieces. Chances are that if there’s a large bulge in the blind bag, it’s her.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Rock Star
The Rock Star has a guitar that makes it easy to feel out. The guitar itself is a variant of the LEGO Friends guitar for added variety. Collect four to form your own rock band.
Lego Minifigures Series 12: Lifeguard
The Lifeguard will work well for LEGO beach themes. The float is a unique shape for this series and easy to feel out. The binocular piece is small and can be difficult to feel out inside the blidn bag.
